MELE Earns ISO 9001:2015 Recertification for Quality Management Systems

Rockville, Maryland, January 8, 2026— MELE Associates, Inc. (MELE), a veteran and minority-owned government contractor with more than three decades of success serving U.S. federal, state, and local agencies and international organizations, announced today that it had earned International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Recertification for Quality Management Systems (QMS).

ISO 9001:2015 is the International Standard for Quality Management Systems and provides a framework for organizations to deliver consistent products and services, improve efficiency, and meet customer and regulatory expectations. ISO 9001:2015 defines the globally agreed requirements for a quality management system but does not prescribe how an organization must operate. It provides structure, clarity and a basis for continual improvement.

MELE earned its ISO Recertification in December 2025. MELE initially received ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2022. ISO requires organizations to pass annual surveillance assessments and to recertify after a 3-year period. MELE passed all its annual ISO assessments, paving the way for its recertification last year. Maintaining ISO certification is an ongoing, rigorous process that illustrates MELE’s commitment to the highest quality standards and delivering exceptional value to its customers.

Third party auditor TCB Audit Services (TCB) conducted the recertification assessment. TCB found that MELE was 100% compliant with ISO standards. TCB assessed MELE’s level of management system compliance against ISO standards, examined the system’s ability to meet applicable statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements, and identified areas for potential improvement.

Compliance Support Analyst Michael Katz coordinated MELE’s response to TCB’s recertification requests.

“This was an outstanding team effort. I want to thank everyone involved for their valuable, thoughtful input and their commitment to maintaining the highest QMS standards,” We’re very proud to have earned our ISO 9001:2015 recertification and look forward to applying what we’ve learned to enhance our performance,” Katz shared.
