Employee Spotlight: Wes G.

Meet MELE’s Senior Program Manager Wes G. Wes is the Senior Program Manager for MELE’s NA-70 and NA-113 contracts with the Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). He oversees all aspects of project execution, contract compliance, and resource management for these programs. Prior to joining MELE, Wes supported a Department of Homeland security program. Wes has been part of the MELE family for over a decade.

“One of the most important aspects of my job is leading and supporting a team of professionals that continuously achieve mission success and client satisfaction. The best part of my job is the people I get to work with at MELE and our government customers,” said Wes. “Everyone is deeply committed to mission success, fostering collaboration, and creating a purpose-driven work environment.”

“Working in the DC area is also great. I really enjoy the food, the world-class museums, and the vibrant music scenes. And who can forget it is the home of the Washington Capitals?” added Wes.

“I am so proud to have Wes as part of the MELE team! He truly embodies the MELE Way and demonstrates what it means to go above and beyond, from ensuring customer/client satisfaction to encouraging and implementing a tight-knit, family-like team atmosphere.  Wes’s dedication and hard work sets the standard for excellence,” shared MELE Vice President Susan Bowers.

Wes expressed his appreciation for the strong sense of camaraderie and the supportive atmosphere at MELE. He said that everyone at MELE has a solution-based mindset, which inspires him every day.

Wes grew up near the beach where he spent countless hours surfing and skateboarding. This led to his lifelong appreciation of nature and adventure. When not working, Wes loves spending quality time with his family, doing outdoor activities, and exploring new places.

“Balancing my kids’ activities keeps us on our toes, but it’s incredibly rewarding to support their passions and bond over these shared experiences,” added Wes.
