Employee Spotlight: Mitchell H.

Meet MELE Program Analyst Mitchell H., who works within the company’s NA-914 contract with the Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Mitchell’s responsibilities include estimating facility costs using the BUILDER software program as well as acting as the technical lead for creating cross database validation checks to ensure data integrity across the enterprise. Mitchell is part of MELE’s remote workforce team.

Prior to joining MELE, Mitchell worked as a Project Engineer at an industrial construction firm assisting with large building projects at major corporations like Merck, Mondelēz International, and DuPont. He has been with MELE a little over two years.

“I enjoy working at MELE because I’m constantly given the opportunity to work with new and exciting software, which helps me grow my knowledge base. There is always something new to learn and it keeps me extremely engaged with my work,” said Mitchell. “I also enjoy the flexibility to live near my parents and friends while being able to travel across the country for work. I really love exploring unfamiliar places and meeting up with my colleagues.”

Mitchell plays an instrumental role on the NNSA BUILDER program management team working to capture and analyze all the information needed to ensure that the NNSA has accurate and timely infrastructure data to pinpoint and prioritize infrastructure modernization investments,” said MELE Vice President Justin Hixson.

Mitchell grew up in Gloucester, Virginia. He spent most of childhood playing ice hockey and lacrosse. Today, he is an avid skier and looks forward to a yearly trip out west. Mitchell recently returned from Park City, Utah.
