MELE Awarded New DOE Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office Contract

MELE Awarded New DOE Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office Contract

Rockville, Maryland, April XX, 2024—MELE Associates, Inc. (MELE), a veteran-owned, minority-owned small business with more than three decades of success in the government contracting space, announced today that it was awarded a new contract by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office (NRLFO.)

MELE’s support services will focus on NRLFO’s efforts to determine an individual’s eligibility for a DOE/NR access authorization/security clearance.

“This is an exciting opportunity for MELE to expand its support services within the DOE. MELE has the resources to provide the expert clinicians the NRLFO needs to vet subjects and determine eligibility for security clearances,” stated MELE Vice President Susan Bowers. “We’re proud to have this opportunity to support the NRLFO’s objectives.”

MELE’s contract with the NRLFO does not have a defined period of performance and will operate on an as needed basis. MELE’s work will focus exclusively on psychological evaluation support as required following a subject’s Personal Security File assessment. MELE did not disclose the contract financials.

“MELE excels at leveraging its expansive talent resources to help federal agencies meet their objectives. We have the flexible infrastructure, project management expertise, and strong partner network to support large, expansive contracts or to meet unique and specific agency functions,” stated MELE’s Chief Operating Officer Greg Hansen. “This new work with NRLFO illustrates that MELE’s support services are agile and can meet a host of federal agency or prime contractor needs.”
