What is your role at MELE and how long have you been with us?
In my role, I am a Program Analyst for the Department of Energy. I have been with MELE since 2014, but I have been with the Department of Energy since 2009. I believe I am a professional problem solver, organizer and someone who likes to ensure things keep moving with the right people signing off.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Honestly, I enjoy being a valuable resource. Through the many different pieces of my position, it keeps me on my toes, and my main goal is to provide support, if not solve as many workplace challenges as possible.
What is your favorite hobby or thing to do when you have free time?
I love cooking. Whether it be one of my chocolate cakes or my famous Colossal Crab Bombs (just bring me a ramekin), I take on culinary challenges frequently. Up next is Baklava!
Who was your hero growing up?
Sometimes you don’t really realize who your hero is until you can accurately give someone that title. My mother is who I would classify as my hero. She battled cancer for years and she never complained. She continued to do her duties as wife and mother with God’s help until she passed. To me, that is my hero.
What is the last movie or book did you enjoy and why do you enjoy it?
The last movie I enjoyed was “The Rip” with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The last book I enjoyed was “Dare to Lead” by Brene Brown. I suggest both to everyone.
