Mel Chiogioji, (RADM) DBA, P.E., President and CEO, MELE Associates served at the Department of Energy as the Construction Manager and Deputy Director in the Office of New Production Reactors, responsible for the $6.5 billion production nuclear reactor, chairing the selection of construction management contractors, directing the work, and developing program schedules. As CEO of MELE, he oversaw MELE's work with the DOE's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) for the design and installation of nuclear portal monitors at Vilnius, Lithuania airport to reduce the risk of nuclear materials being smuggled out of that region for terrorist purposes. From our expertise in nuclear nonproliferation and radiation effects analysis to our work on financial management systems and business planning, there is a wide range of MELE projects throughout the DOE.
