CAC Leavenworth Support Services
Fort Leavenworth Support Services is a multiple award contract that provides a wide range of support services to the U.S. Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth across 18 Functional Areas. Four awards were made to large business awardees which may bid only within those task orders designated for Track 1 - Large Business Suite. Another six awards were made for Track 2 - Small Business Suite. As a small businesse team, HOPLITE may bid on task orders designated for either Track 1 or Track 2.
Award W911S0-11-D-0014 was made to GDS-MELE, JV, 1001 Rockville Pike Ste 1304, Rockville, MD. GDS-MELE, JV is the Prime Contractor for a Track 2 - Small Business Suite team of ten companies called HOPLITE. The HOPLITE Team includes a variety of 6 small businesses and 4 large businesses. The HOPLITE Team is driven by a senior management core of former military and government professionals dedicated to aiding the U.S. Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth (USACACFL) in preparing the Army for conflicts around the world and transforming it to meet future threats; and in developing the Army’s Soldier and civilian leaders.
The HOPLITE Team is led by and comprised of experienced Army partners who provide full spectrum support to the United States Army Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth (USACACFL) or CAC. The HOPLITE Team was built precisely to provide immediate support to CAC leaders, helping them to carry out the vital mission of preparing the Army for full spectrum warfare, transforming it to meet future threats, and developing Soldiers and civilian leaders.
While the HOPLITE Team was customized and built to respond specifically to CAC leadership’s immediate and future challenges, HOPLITE Team members have worked with each other in previous years and bring proven project management processes and tools that enhance contractor accountability and promote “ease of use” for the Army customer. Many of the team leaders are also company leaders and former CGSC professors who can easily reach directly into their companies and any other member company for quick decisions and decisive responses.
The Prime Contractor, GDS-MELE LLC JV (MELE), is an 8(a) small disadvantaged business. Global DataSec (GDS) has supported both defense and federal civilian agencies. GDS focus revolves around the creation, capture, management, dissemination, and security of data.
