Mel Chiogioji

President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Chiogioji (RADM USN ret) has more than 30 years of senior management experience in the engineering and research fields. Among his areas of specialization are nuclear and fossil-fueled power; energy efficiency, economics and financing; international energy programs; industrial waste utilization and minimization; and construction management. He also has extensive experience in systems analysis, operations research and analysis. As a member of the Senior Executive Service, Dr. Chiogioji also brings a wealth of knowledge in government project and program management.

Dr. Chiogioji served thirty-two years in the Navy and Naval Reserve as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer including six years as a Rear Admiral, adding experience in engineering and evaluation of Naval weapons and weapons systems including nuclear weapons.

Dr. Chiogioji has extensive experience in teaching graduate level courses in R&D management, Organizational Development, Change Management, Systems Analysis and Operations Research, and Energy Management.

Listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in Technology, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, and American Men and Women of Science, Dr. Chiogioji is the author of two books published by Marcel Dekker, Inc.: Industrial Energy Conservation and Residential and Building Energy Conservation.

Dr. Chiogioji is a registered professional electrical engineer, a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Society of American Engineers.
