U.S. Dept. of Transportation - PHMSA
MELE was under contract with DOT’s Research and Special Projects Administration (RSPA) to conduct a full assessment of its main website and 12 subordinate sites to identify a common hardware/software architecture to ensure cross functional compatibility between all sites and develop a project plan for an integrated platform and system architecture as well as a migration and upgrade plan for each of the 12 sites. As RSPA transitioned to PHMSA (Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration), MELE Associates continued to work to redesign the main public website in the short term, and apply branding to all PHMSA-related websites pending migration to a new integrated portal platform. MELE Associates:
- Restructured the main PHMSA website as a gateway to all Web-based resources owned and maintained by various PHMSA organizational areas.
- Developing and implementing a design, which reflects a corporate identity in alignment with RSPA’s mission and vision.
- Developing a plan for implementing this design sense across all of the RSPA websites to foster a unified corporate identity.
- Laying the foundation for future development and integration of diverse RSPA websites into an integrated web platform that will improve knowledge management throughout the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Parallel to the structural aspects of reorganizing RSPA’s online presence, we are providing design and PR expertise to enhance RSPA’s image.
