Goal: Design and deploy a Video, Voice and Data Wide Area Network for the Government of Guam.
Overview: The Guam Wide Area Network (GGWAN) Project was a year-long effort by MELE that involved installation of an overlay IP network and VPN network onto the Guam Island fiber ring. The network was installed in three-phases linking all 33 state-level government agencies and integrating Cisco and Nortel products as well as accomodating Y2K needs.
Services for GGWAN and Government-Wide Y2K:
- Perform site investigation, research, field verification and assessment of system configurations and interrelationships.
- Perform comprehensive computer systems design and engineering including risk evaluation.
- Evaluate Wide-Area Network (WAN) capabilities based on existing fiber infrastructure.
- Develop and install internet/intranet WAN including all hardware and software.
