At MELE Associates, we believe that the cabling system is the single most important part of a network system, yet it is often the most overlooked. The cabling system falls under the Physical Layer of the OSI 7 Layer network model. It is the fundamental building block upon which all servers, routers, hubs, switches, and PCs connect. The Precision Infrastructure Group is committed to constantly improving the process that we use to provide cabling services. The group’s process prioritizes the input of the customer, and our commitment to quality continues through the entire installation. We recognize that to produce the most durable and organized cabling systems, we must employ methods that are more arduous than our competitors are willing to perform. We have found through experience that perfecting the fine details up front produces a cabling system that is more likely to maintain its organization and utility in the event of future expansion.

Extensive experience in Cable Plant Services. We have provided network pathway integration for commercial businesses, local and Federal governments and educational institutions. These services include structured wiring systems (voice, video and data) design and installation, local and wide area network integration, project management and consulting.

MELE has been involved in the design and installation of a number of fiber network infrastructures in the US and abroad. Our technical staff has years of experience and training in the implementation of all cable media types to include: all categories of unshielded and shielded twisted pair (UTP and STP; multi and high pair copper; coaxial; and, single and multi-mode fiber optic cable.

Our experience in the fiber octal arena includes project in Guam, Africa and the United States. We can deploy and manage a broad range of fiber optic cables for "high bandwidth" transmission of data, video, and audio communications. We are also strong in wireless infrastructures in local and wide area environments.

Installation - MELE Associates maintains a professional and expert technical staff for any type of network installation, whether it is Fiber Optic, Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6 Cabling, workstation termination and installation or relocation, infrastructure hardware such as Hubs, Routers, Switches, Servers, as well as a multitude of telephone, switches hardware and cabling. Our technicians are trained on the specific solution your company is requiring, and will carry out the installation with a minimum of disruption to the client's existing system or office environment.

Documentation - We know that unless you have proper records on the usage of every system component, your cabling investment will be greatly diminished. Our technicians detail all cable and equipment locations on your as-built blueprints where available. We also offer Custom-tailored documentation of your cabling system using database software and drawings. With our solid documentation in hand, administering your cabling system will be much more efficient.

Testing - MELE Associates has State-of-the-Art testing equipment, and we make it our responsibility to stay on top of the latest technology in the testing world. Our ongoing investment in tools and training enables us to offer multiple phases of testing during the installation process. It is essential to take a multi-phase approach in order to be assured of the quality and reliability of a network, therefore we test whatever is being installed before, during and after the installation is complete. In addition, it is mandatory for MELE technicians to stay well-trained and tested on the latest testing equipment and techniques in the industry.

Structured Cabling - The primary product of the Precision Infrastructure Group, is the design, installation and testing of structured cabling systems. We have installed systems from a few to more than 8,000 cables. We install Category 5, Category 5 Enhanced, Category 6 UTP cabling systems as well as Single Mode and Multimode Fiber Optic Systems. We have installed systems that handle a range of applications, including 10BaseT, Token Ring, 100BaseT, FDDI, ATM, Frame Relay and 1000BaseT.

Computer/Server Rooms - MELE Associates has designed and installed numerous computer/server rooms ranging in size from a few to more than 100 racks. In each case, "showcase" quality was required. We have also designed and installed rooms with a variety of cable tray types and sizes, and equipment racks/cabinets.
